Yes, We Are Open!

Open for Cleanings and All Dental Work

After more than a month of treating dental emergencies, we are happy to announce we are open for cleanings and all dental work. We want to thank our patients for their patience and understanding during the pandemic. Everyone has been so understanding. For more than a month we treated emergencies, but regular appointments were put on hold. This no more! We are now looking forward to seeing EVERYONE again.

Rescheduling Cleanings and Dental Work

Our team is working to get in touch with patients who missed appointments from late March through early May. We are dedicated to following all CDC, DHEC and dental association guidelines to keep everyone safe during this time.

New Patients Are Always Welcome

We are conveniently located in Downtown Greenville in the North Main area, and free parking is provided. We work hard to make sure you are happy and healthy. We want it to be easy to become a patient in our practice. Our office participates in most insurance plans and offers evening and Saturday appointments for new patients.

Join Our Candy Give-Back

After Halloween, consider joining our Candy Give-Back program and donating your leftovers! When you donate, we’ll ship your candy to Operation Gratitude, and they’ll use it to make care packages for veterans, troops and first responders. It’s a great way to say thank you to those who serve and protect us.

Operation Gratitude

Greenville Dental Studio will collect your unused Halloween candy on Monday, November 2 and Tuesday, November 3. Your donations will be sent to Operation Gratitude. This great organization creates care packages for service members, veterans and first responders.

Care Packages

By joining our Candy Give-Back event, you’ll help ensure that sweet treats are included in every care package Operation Gratitude ships out. Since 2003, the organization has delivered more than 2.5 million care packages to people serving our country and local communities. What type of candy do we take? Anything that’s wrapped and left over from Halloween. Snack size is great!

When you donate at our office, we will also have thank you notes for you to personalize and sign to show your appreciation to those who serve and protect all of us. We are happy to make our candy collection an annual tradition, and we want to make donating convenient for you.

Our family dental office is located at the corner of North Main Street and Stone Avenue, 644 N. Main Street, Suite 111, Greenville, South Carolina. We have plenty of free, off-street parking in the lot and garage behind our building, so it’s easy to donate.

North Main Blood Drive

Blood Drive
The Blood Connection is returning to our office in North Main Saturday, June 1. Drop by our family dental practice between 9:30am – 1:30pm to donate. The bloodmobile will park at the corner of North Main Street and Stone Avenue.

Everyone who donates receives a $20 Chick-fil-A gift card. You can also enjoy free coffee, tea and hot chocolate from the Vita Nova traveling cafe and enter to win prizes from our dental studio.

Why Blood Drives Are Important
As a family dental practice, we are focused on the overall health of our patients. As a cancer survivor, Dr. Andy Bullard received multiple blood and platelet transfusions during treatment. He is aware of the positive impact blood donation has on our community.

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. That is an average of 36,000 units of red blood cells per day. On average, patients with traumatic injuries need 45 units of blood. Blood can’t be manufactured, it must come from donors. The Blood Connection says one donation can save up to three lives.

How Blood Drives Work
The Blood Connection staff can help put you at ease and answer your questions about the blood drive. Allow about 45 minutes to sign in, begin your appointment and complete the process. The actual donation time only takes 10 – 15 minutes. You must weigh at least 110 pounds and be at least 17 years old. With parental consent, 16-year-olds can donate.

Yappy Hour is on through the end of October! We are proud to sponsor this monthly gathering that brings dog lovers together for a good cause.

Supporting Partners in Animal Care

On the 4th Sunday of the month between April and October, Partners in Animal Care hosts a great party at Brewery 85. You can bring your 4-legged friends to listen to music, meet new people and enjoy food and drinks from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sponsor tables are also set up to shop and enjoy some fun, free items.

Benefiting Greenville Animal Care

Proceeds from Yappy Hour benefit Greenville Animal Care, the state’s largest open-admission animal shelter. Their mission is to save more homeless animals and create a no kill community. Our family dental practice is proud to support Greenville Animal Care.

Open House at the Dental Studio

Our family dentistry team is hosting an open house to bring dogs and smiles together!
Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 30. We hope you’ll stop by to tour our office and enjoy some refreshments. Our friends from Greenville Animal Care will also have dogs on site who need forever homes.

Greenville Animal Care

Greenville County Animal Care is the largest open-admission animal facility in South Carolina. All dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are only $35 to adopt. This includes vaccines, testing, spay/neuter and a microchip. Greenville County Animal Care is located at 328 Furman Hall Road, but they’ll be able to bring some adoptable pets for you to meet, during our open house.

Healthy Smiles

Our goal is to provide quality and affordable dental care to patients at every stage of life. From cleanings and filings to crowns and root canals, we are here to work with you. We also provide cosmetic dentistry, and first time patients receive free, custom take-home whitening kits. If you’re looking for a dentist, we encourage you to drop in for a visit. We will have gifts for everyone, and you can enter to win some great prizes.

Blood Drive
We will host a blood drive January 12 at our office in Greenville. You can be a blood donor, just drop by our family dental practice between 10:30am – 2:30pm. The bloodmobile will park at the corner of North Main Street and Stone Avenue, across from Rite-Aid.

Everyone who donates receives a $20 movie pass or a sweatshirt, along with a thank you gift from our team at Comprehensive and Cosmetic Dental Studio of Greenville.

Help stock the pantry at Harvest Hope Food Bank this Christmas by donating to our Holiday Food Drive at Comprehensive and Cosmetic Dental Studio of Greenville.

Holiday Food Drive 2018

We are collecting donations between November 19 – December 14 at our Greenville office, 644 North Main Street, Suite 111.

The mission of Harvest Hope Food Bank is to provide for the needs of hungry people by gathering and sharing quality food with dignity, compassion and education.

Most Needed Items

Some of the most needed items this time of year include canned meats, vegetables, soup, beans, broth, rice, pasta, sauce, boxed stuffing mix, evaporated milk, cereal, diapers and wipes and hygiene products.

Other needed items:

Instant mashed potatoes
Cranberry sauce
Low sugar fruit cups
Snack bars
Toiletries
Plastic grocery bags

Cans with pop-top lids are extremely helpful to the clients at Harvest Hope.

Free Oral Cancer Screenings

Free Oral Cancer Screenings

April 8-15, 2018 is Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week. Our office is offering free oral cancer screenings all week and throughout the year. Approximately 110,000 people are diagnosed with oral, head and neck cancer every year in the United States. Sadly, 66% of the time oral cancer isn’t detected until it’s in a late stage of the disease. Early detection is an important factor in treatment. Comprehensive and Cosmetic Dental Studio of Greenville will always provide free screenings by appointment.

Major risk factors for oral, head and neck cancer include tobacco use and alcohol consumption. Sun damage can also cause the lips to be become involved. Human papillomavirus (HPV) is also a major risk factor.

ADA.org lists the following as possible signs and symptoms of Oral Cancer:

– a lump or thickening of oral soft tissues

– soreness or a feeling that something is caught in the throat

– difficulty chewing or swallowing

– ear pain

– difficulty moving jaw or tongue

– hoarseness

– numbness of the tongue or other areas of the mouth

– swelling of the jaw that causes dentures to fit poorly or become uncomfortable
